motivation words

1. Your motivation to do something is the reason why you want to do it. If you have motivation, you do something because you want to do it — and not because you have to do it. The lazy man does not have the motivation to do what must be done. The lazy learner needs a bit of motivation to help him get through the pain of learning. The need to communicate in English can be a good motivation for learning English pronunciation. Her teacher told her that she had made much progress, and this increased her motivation to keep on learning. My interest in medicine was my biggest motivation to study chemistry. Some people do not have motivation to change the way they live.

Grammar Activities and Games

Grammar activities and games make learning about grammar fun for students. And why shouldn't learning be fun? Here are four grammar activities and games:
Grammar Activities and Games - Tic Tac Toe Grammar
For this fun grammar activity, you can either draw a giant tic tac toe board on your blackboard or make some in advance. In each square of the grid, you need to put a sentence with a blank where the verb must be. If your students can fill in the blank with a verb of the proper tense, then they get an X. The trick with this game is that the teacher must check the answers as the game goes on (which can be a problem when you have a large group of students divided into pairs.)
You can also use this tic tac toe method to practice other parts of grammar, as well. You can have your students put the given sentence in past tense, finish a sentence correctly, etc.
Grammar Activities and Games - Sentence Auctions
This grammar activity is slightly more advanced. Divide your class into groups and tell them what auctions are and how they work. Then allot each group a certain amount of "money" or points and tell them that they want to bid only on correct sentences. You then auction off sentences, both correct and incorrect ones. Whichever group ends up with the most correct sentences wins.
Grammar Activities and Games - Sentence Maze
For this game you need to draw a "maze" and print it out for each student. Students all start at the start space at the same time. You then read a sentence. If the sentence is correct, the students take the dotted line out of the start space and to the next space. If the sentence is incorrect, they take the bold line to the next space. Then you read another students and if it is correct, the students take the dotted line, etc. Eventually, if the student has correctly answered all sentences, she wins (all correct students will win at the same time).
Grammar Activities and Games - Sentence partners
Give each of your students a word. Give some students subject nouns, others should get verbs, and some should get verbs (more advanced classes can have adverbs, prepositions, etc.) Then have your students go about the classroom and find at least two other students that they can make a sentence with. When everyone has found a sentence to be a part of, read the sentences to the class, and then do it all over again!

Top Tips to learn English

How to Learn English ?!
Learning English is not easy. Many websites will try to sell you the idea that you can pay $19.99 per month and your English will be perfect. English isn't that easy language and it takes a lot of time to learn it. It takes the average English student five years to speak and write it with any kind of fluency. How long have you been studying English? If you really want to learn English, here are some useful suggestions :
1. Listen : Listening to any language is the most important factor to learn how to do first.
2. Match sounds to words : When you listen to the language, look at the letters and words that match the sounds. This will extremely improve your reading ability.
3. Write : Everytime you learn something new, write it down in a notebook. This will help you to remember what you have learned.
4. Read - Try to read English one hour every day. Yes, this is difficult, but English is a very big language, and the only way to learn essential vocabulary is to read it.
5. Speak - Whenever you have the opportunity, speak English. This will be hard to do if you don't live in an English-speaking country; however, the Internet provides new opportunities to practice speaking through chat rooms (which is mostly just text for now) and through audio-video chat technology, such as is available through an Apple computer.
6. Use the Internet - Find one or two or three different free websites that you can go to daily. Don't pay for instruction over the Internet. Some websites require monthly or yearly fees and they aren't worth it. This website will always be free.Costs are covered Ads.
7. Learn from a teacher - If it's possible you should try to learn from as many different teachers as possible, but at the very least find one teacher and learn what you can from that person
